They Did and They Will Saturday I had the pleasure of attending my first wedding where the bride and groom were both Special Olympics athletes. Love showed up everywhere at this wedding, and so many moments were tender and ”simply them.” I left that cathedral in Santa Fe feeling like I had just attended the wedding of all weddings. The Priest who presided over the ceremony
did a beautiful job of creating a message that all 700 of us could
relate to. He compared marriage to competing in an Olympic Games.

August Tip-A-Cop is a Success
On August 31, 2011 all Albuquerque Applebee's locations hosted a Law Enforcement Torch Run Tip-A-Cop. We would like to send a great big THANK YOU to all how participated and all who attended. With your help over $5,500 dollars were raised to help SONM continue to provide year round sport to our athletes.
UNM Men's Soccer vs Cal Northridge
Join us on September 11, 2011 at 1pm at the UNM Track and Soccer Complex for Special Olympics Night. Wear Special Olympics apparel and get tickets at a discounted price, $2 for children and $3 for adults.
