Thoughts from Randy-Blog
Nice Hat
There are days when
I can barely figure out what my thoughts
are – let alone write about them. When
that happens sometimes I pull out a huge
envelope of athlete photos, and it
is there I find inspiration.
I’m sure most of you reading this would agree that right now in our world there is a lot of sadness and some pretty depressing things going on. It’s not hard to go through the day heavy-hearted. I think most of us would like to help bring comfort or relief, but if you are like me, you just aren’t always sure how to really do that in a way that truly makes a difference. SONM Tip-A-Cop Expands
The Special Olympics Tip-A-Cop is continuing to grow, and we want you to be involved. On March 25, 2011 from 5-9pm, Joe's Pasta House in Rio Rancho will be hosting their first ever Tip-A-Cop fundraiser. Enjoy the many traditional Italian dishes Joe's Pasta House has to offer while being entertained and waited on by the wonderful Law Enforcement Torch Run offiers. Proceeds from this event will benefit Special Olympics New Mexico. Check out the website for Joe's Pasta House by clicking HERE and be sure to save room for dessert!!!
Krispy Kream and LETR join together to bring the 2011 Cops On Top fundraiser benefiting Special Olympics New Mexico. Beginning Friday April 29th at 6pm through Sunday May 1st till 12pm find LETR Officers on top of Krispy Kreme. To see them, head over to the Westside Cottonwood Doughnut Factory for your morning coffee and a fresh made world famous glazed doughnut (it’s worth the drive). Set a personal promise to yourself and Special Olympics, for every doughnut you purchase, dough-nate a dollar to Special Olympics New Mexico. Don’t forget to bring some doughnuts to the office and make even more people happy.
For the entire month of April, 7-Eleven will be selling Special Olympic New Mexico Law Enforcement Torch Run icons to purchase for $1 at all 23 Albuquerque and Rio Rancho locations. Find the location nearest you by clicking HERE. Head over to any 7-Eleven for your afternoon caffeine fix or munchie attack and purchase a SONM LETR icon. When asked how he feels of the joining of SONM and 7-Eleven Eric Corely the Region Manager for 7-Eleven states, "7-Eleven is very excited to partner with Special Olympics New Mexico and the Law Enforcement Torch Run. This is our first year working with SONM and we look forward to a long term relationship". Now you can be a part of this growing force, write your name on the icon and be proud to support an organization that provides competitive sport and training to over 2,600 athletes with developmental disabilities across New Mexico.
