Thoughts from Randy- Blog Righteous Dudes Two weeks ago, along with our SONM Law
Enforcement Torch Run Liaison and two SONM athletes who serve on our
Torch Run Executive Committee, I attended the 2010 International Law
Enforcement Torch Run Conference in Long Beach, California. It was
awe-inspiring to be in the presence of over 1100 law enforcement
officers – all so deeply committed to Special Olympics athletes. Holiday Classic On November 19 - 21, SONM heads to Las Cruces for the 2010 Holiday Classic presented by UPS where hundreds of SONM athletes will compete in the South Regional Bowling and State Basketball Competition. Competitions will take place at Ten Pin Bowling Alley and the New Mexico State University Activities Center. For more information visit www.sonm.org or call (505) 856-0342. Posole Ole Fun
Walk On Saturday, December 4 join hundreds of SONM fans for the 2010 Posole Ole Fun Walk. Begin your online fundraising at www.firstgiving.com/sonm. Register yourself or be part of a team to help raise funds and awareness for SONM's athletes and sports program. For more information visit www.sonm.org or call Rhonda Gardner at (505) 856-0342. Denny's Promo Be a fan of Special Olympics New Mexico by ordering an All American Slam during your next visit to Denny's. Denny's restaurants are continuing to raise support for Special Olympics New Mexico athletes at home and around the world. When you order an All-American Slam from now through August 2011, 10-cents will be donated to Special Olympics. Proceeds will benefit Special Olympics in local communities across the U.S. Bank of America Promo Bank of America and Special Olympics New Mexico have joined forces to turn everyday purchases into extraordinary experiences for athletes with intellectual disabilities. With the Special Olympics Visa credit card and personal checking account, you can help give children and adults with intellectual disabilities opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and their communities.
