Thoughts from Randy - Blog
Saint Danny.
Yesterday I attended Danny Martinez's funeral. Three years ago he
was Special Olympics New Mexico's Area 3 Athlete of the Year. Danny
and his family are from Alamogordo.
The Immaculate Conception church was filled with Danny's family and
friends. There were people of all walks of life, all ages, and all
races. As much as we mourned his death-we celebrated his twenty-nine
years of life. "A beautiful life that came to an end. He died as he
lived, everyone's friend."

Editor's Notes
Misspelled Name
In the last issue of the SO Brief, we misspelled SONM athlete
JEANNIE GARRISS, who'll also be attending the 2010 National Games in
Lincoln, NB in July.
Rhythmaniacs
SONM coach Molly Sorce is actually the coach for the Special
Olympics Rhythmaniacs delegation.
Moreover, the Rhythmaniacs have two gymnasts going to the 2010
Special Olympics National Games in Lincoln, NB (Ashley Leiby and
Jeannie Garriss); SONM athlete Rachel Martinez of the Albuquerque
Gymnastics School delegation, is currently practicing with the
Rhythmaniacs only to prepare for National Games.
