The Journey to
Albuquerque: Carry the LETR Flame of Hope

It began on Monday, May 18th: hundreds of Law Enforcement Torch Run
officers carrying the Flame of Hope from each corner of the state en
route to Albuquerque for the 2009 Summer Games of the Olympiad.
Covering a total of 1,600 miles of New Mexico roads in a span of two
weeks, LETR officers ran through sunshine, rain and wind—pressing on
to keep with tradition to light the Olympic Cauldron and announce
the Summer Games officially “open.”
