The Women's Fall Fly Classic Oct. 4-7 brought some very talented guides and anglers together for three days of fly fishing for bonefish, redfish, snook & tarpon. Fishing out of The Loreli and Islamorada Fishing Club, the women encountered strong winds and thunderstorms most days. It is a slam format tournament where most species trumps. Joan Goodman of Pembroke Pines fishing with Capt Chris Jones won the event with 6 redfish and 1 snook release on fly. Next year's dates are October 2-4, 2012.
