Florida Keys Outfitters Newsletter June 2009 - Update
Greetings!

Summer heat has come to the Keys bringing some of the best tarpon fishing I can remember in recent years. Schools, singles and pods have poured along the banks in the backcountry and across white spots on the ocean side since mid May. Light fishing pressure and an unusually high hook up rate has been the buzz up and down the islands. The forecast is good for the foreseeable future!

Several guides and anglers have raved about the snook fishing near Flamingo and I know of one angler who caught half a dozen permit on fly last week with three on one day!

Congratulations to Tim Eshelman of Roanoke, Indiana on winning the May "Photo of the Month" contest and $100 gift Card from Florida Keys Outfitters. This great shot says it all!

Tim's brother Pete and guide, Jon Milchman holding Pete's first permit on fly. Nice catch! Nice Shot!
