Featured Presenters:
  • Karen M. DeBlasio, HPRP Desk Officer, Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
  • Tom Albanese, Associate, Abt Associates
While this event will focus on the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), the information presented will also benefit those who are not administering HPRP. It will address hot topics in prevention and rapid re-housing program design and administration.

This includes:
* Concrete examples of how other communities are utilizing HPRP
* Targeting prevention to those most at risk
* Eligibility determination and documentation
* Collaboration with other ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) programs
* Identifying future funds for prevention and rapid re-housing

There will be ample time for your questions and discussion. The presenters will use case scenarios to delve into the nuances of prevention and rapid re-housing. This is not meant to be a "HPRP 101" so check out resources listed below before you attend this event.
