Madeline Christensen, flute, Mari Hauge, cello, and Carolyn Kellert, piano, a newly formed instrumental trio, have performed previously at Faith United, and since, at other churches in the area.  Madeline continues to concertize in the Chicago area but is a full time music educator at United High School.  Mari is a well-known performer to this area and plays in the Knox Galesburg symphony orchestra.  Carolyn Kellert, recently retired music educator from Galesburg High School, is also the artistic director of the sacred vocal jazz ensemble, Silk Cords.  

Save the date:  September 9, 2012 is Homecoming Sunday.  We will also have our "Blessing of the Animals" again this year for our Sunday school kick-off.  Look for more information in the next couple of weeks.

Help fill Jamieson Center's food pantry!  You can bring any nonperishable food item and place it under the mirror outside of the office each week.  Thanks for your help. 

The family of Shirley Armstrong will be hosting an open house in honor of her 80th birthday. Please join us on Saturday, Aug. 25th from 1-3 pm in the social hall. No gifts, but cards are welcome.

Over the years we've accumulated a number of coats that are hanging up in the hallway outside of the offices. Please double check prior to September 1, 2012.  After that date, they will be taken to Strom Center.  Thank you!
