The Future of Youth Ministry - for YOUTH!

 

All Youth in 7^th - 11^th grade are invited to attend a special (yummy waffles) breakfast on May 15 in the Youth Room.  The Christian Education Committee wants to hear what you think should happen with Youth Ministry at our church in the future.  Please come at 9:30a.m. on May 15.  We need your help!

Icebreakers

Horizons Bible Study Workshop  

 

In this study, Margaret Aymer invites you to consider the Beatitudes as they might have been heard when Jesus spoke them - during the Roman Empire.  While great in many respects, Rome was a cruel and brutal regime that did not stop short of executing anyone who challenged its authority.

 

The Rev. Agnes Brady will lead this workshop on Wednesday, June 8, 2011.  Coffee at 9:00 a.m. followed by the workshop at 9:30.  Reservations can be made to Dorothy Williams, 196 West Hail, Bushnell, IL  61422, or by email at lauries_mom@yahoo.com.

To Joan Steis, Cathy Abernathy, Jane (John) Walters, and friends on the death of husband and father, Parker Steis, who died on May 2, 2011.  A visitation has been set for Thursday, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Turnbull Funeral Home.  The memorial service will be held here, at Faith United, Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. 

 

To Carol Phoenix (Ruth Pedigo's daughter) and family on the death of Carol's husband, John Phoenix, who died on May 3, 2011.
