Church Lawn

To cut down on expenses again this summer, we are asking for volunteers to mow the church lawn. (Please plan on using your own mower.) If you are interested, please sign-up on the office door.  Thank you!

Softball

Cheer on our church today at 4:00 p.m. against First United Methodist Church at Monmouth Park.  This church league is co-ed, so guys and girls, sign up!  A schedule is posted on the office door.

Isabel Circle

Isabel Circle will meet at the home of Sharon Graham on Thursday, June 24th for supper before the Bible study and meeting.  Attendees will meet at the church parking lot at 6:05 p.m. to car pool.  Mary Distin will facilitate Lesson 9: The Challenge of God's Covenant from JOSHUA: A Journey of Faith from the 2009-2010 Horizons Bible Study.  All interested women are invited to attend.  For more information contact Sharon Graham at 309-627-2484.

Presbyterian Women's Annual Salad Supper and Meeting Postponed

Traditionally, the annual meeting of our congregation's Presbyterian Women has been held on the third Thursday evening of June.  Due to scheduling conflicts, the meeting and salad supper have been postponed to a later date this summer.  More information about this event will be available at the end of this month.

Trivia Night Scheduled - July 17, 2010

You won't want to miss the second annual Trivia Night at Faith UP on Saturday, July 17th sponsored by the Mission Committee.  Food and fellowship will be available from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. with the competition starting at 5:00 p.m.  Rob Hale will be the MC for the evening. The cost to participate is $30.00 per team of six participants.  Remember to think "Intergenerational" when you select your team members because the categories and questions will span centuries of useful and useless (except for trivia night) information.  Proceeds from this fun event will go toward mission projects supported by the members and friends of Faith United Presbyterian Church.  Sign up forms will be available starting Sunday, June 20th.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School will be blasting off on June 27 - July 1.  We need your help.  Please consider being a teacher, aid, storyteller or other type of volunteer.  Look for sign up sheets in the social hall as well as food requests.

This Bed's For You!

An electric adjustable twin sized bed went unsold at the rummage sale.   It is in very good condition and is similar to a hospital bed.  It is extra long and comes with extra long sheets.  If interested, it is yours if you can pick it up.  Come to the church during business hours and have a look (8:00-4:00)  or call the church for more information.  Thank You.
Thank You:

On behalf of Silk Cords, I want to thank you for allowing us to provide some special music to your congregation this last Sunday.  We so enjoy coming back to our "roots" (so to speak!) and were especially pleased to be able to share some new music, including a couple that had never been performed.  God's blessings continue to overflow!

Thanks again -
Julie Reinertsen
