Greetings!
While walking this past Monday evening, Mike and I saw that West Park was covered with trash. At first we couldn't believe someone would leave all that garbage lying around for someone else to clean up. But, as we continued past, huffing and puffing, we realized that if we didn't turn and go back, we would be doing the same thing - leaving the mess for someone else.
Picking up the garbage was EASY! But if I were to substitute the park for people... Would I be so willing to go back and help clean up the mess in their lives? (And you can fill in what that 'mess' might be.) Or, would I be able to just walk by and leave it for someone else to do? Hmmmm, that's a good question... one that I need to take an honest look at!
...for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me. Then the righteous will answer him 'Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you? And the king will answer them, ' Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.' Matthew 25:35-40
Blessings,
Heather |

Also, if you have a plethora of plastic forks lying around, we would gladly take them off your hands! Please see Sharon Graham.
