Help Sara Drebes -- Sponsor a Child for Camp |
When Sara joined us in Adult Forum by Skype from her mission work in the Dominican Republic last month, we asked her to let us know of any immediate needs she had. Her computer has been broken for the past few weeks, and just got back on-line. Here's one way we can help this week...sponsor one of her students for a week of camp.
Here are the details from Sara: Camp is taking place April 13-15. There are about 100 high school kids eligible to go to camp between the two high schools in Jarabacoa. The majority of those kids is unable to pay the full amount of the camp cost ($80). We have been doing fund-raisers and Serv-a-thons with the kids to raise some funds, but are in need of more. If there is anyone who would like to sponsor a high school student, they can visit the website below and enter my account number - X8176 https://giving.younglife.org $80.00 will provide one full scholarship. If possible, it is also helpful for me to receive an email from the donor notifying me of a donation - sdrebes@gmail.com. That way, I can keep an eye out for it showing up on my spreadsheet and be sure to designate it for camp funds.
Thanks for your extravagant genreosity in touching lives around the world!

Ten little chicks make a big difference! When they are just months old, these chicks begin laying eggs, which make nutritious meals for families who are hungry. The many extra eggs are often enough to allow a family to start a small business by selling them for additional income.
The mere presence of a duck on a farm can help a family produce a more bountiful harvest than ever before. How? A duck is the best natural pesticide around! Its favorite foods include all of the bugs and weeds that harm a farmer's crops while fertilizing the field at the same time. But that's not all. Large, protein-rich duck eggs make great, nutritious meals.
