Prayer from Bishop Mauney

Lord Jesus, we give thanks to you for the gift of our baptism and the sign that you have rescued us from real powers of sin, evil, and death in order that we might be yours and find the joy to our living in your life.
Send us this day as your Ambassadors to speak to the gain that is ours in knowing your Lordship in the midst of anxious times.
Give us your heart to speak and work with compassion for all those whom you love this day, who are in great need.
Send us to our homes with your Word and love to speak and share within our families this day.
Give us a thankful heart for our daily bread we break at meal and remember those who have no bread this day.
In the power of the Holy Spirit we pray.
Amen.
