Dear Friends in Christ,

Pentecost will soon be here!  On Sunday May 23rd, we will celebrate this festival day with one combined worship service of the entire congregation at 10:00 AM.  That means no 8:15 worship, and no 11:15 worship that Sunday.

Congratulations to Brynna Lokrantz and Lucas Wohler as they affirm their baptism and begin their lives as adult members of our congregation!

After worship, we'll have an "all nations" potluck lunch.  Please bring a dish that best represents your national heritage.

Also...please remember that THIS Sunday May 9th is Mother's Day!

Dan RiekenCongratulations to Dan Rieken on his retirement from the U.S. Navy!  Lisa is providing a surprise cake for us after worship this Sunday, so if you see Dan, please thank him for his service.

(Hopefully I was successful in blocking Dan and Lisa's e-mail address from this mailing!)

 giving

This is total combined giving both to the Operating Fund (Mission and Ministry) and the Capital (Building) Fund.  It does not include other gifts given for specific purposes.  Our goal is to get to $50,000 in donations every month.  We need $40,000 each month to meet our commitments.  We did well in April and have a great start already from the first Sunday in May.  About 10% of our giving is done electronically.  You can manage your own electronic giving through our Simply Giving program by creating a profile.

Participate meaningfully in our growth...keep on Giving each week as an act of thanksgiving and worship!

"Here is the truly Christian life, here is faith really working by love, when a man applies himself with joy and love to the works of that freest servitude in which he serves others voluntarily and for nought, himself abundantly satisfied in the fullness and riches of his own faith."
