Commitment Sunday

walkMarch 21st was Commitment Sunday.  We've received 80 Witness and Service Forms and 66 Estimates of Giving so far.   So there's well over a hundred folks out there who can still participate!   Everyone needs to give!  Simply pick up a form from the welcome table in the narthex, fill it out, and put it in the offerring plate on Palm Sunday or any time during Holy Week.  You can download the forms from...

"So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Help us Catch up after our "Snowfall Shortfall"

The heavy snows this winter forced us to cancel worship 3 times!  That meant a significant financial loss for our congregation.  We encourage all to help us make up for this "Snowfall Shortfall" by giving three weeks worth of your normal offerings before Easter.  A special "Snowfall Shortfall" envelope will be provided for your use at worship on March 28th.  The envelope printing came out a little small, but here's what it's supposed to look like:

snowfall shortfall
Where can we get 3 additional weeks worth of offering to give?  How about your 2009 state and federal income tax refunds?  Not getting a refund?  You can fix that problem next year by giving more to your church in 2010!

Want to take something on?  How about setting up a recurring electronic funds transfer as part of your giving?  Starting in April, we anticipate that over $5,000 will be given on-line each month by our members to our Mission and Ministry and Building Fund combined.  You can do it all by yourself on-line, then see Donna Roberts our Contributions Secretary to confirm that it's all working as you like, and sign the authorization form for her records.  Just click on the "Create Profile" button on the webpage and you can then manage it yourself!

Additional details on financial giving are available on-line at:

"Here is the truly Christian life, here is faith really working by love, when a man applies himself with joy and love to the works of that freest servitude in which he serves others voluntarily and for nought, himself abundantly satisfied in the fullness and riches of his own faith."
