Dear Friends in Christ,

This coming Sunday, March 21st,  you will have the opportunity to bring to the altar your witness and service commitment and your estimate of giving card for next year.  Please give prayerful consideration to your gift before Sunday.

If you have not already done so, please print off a copy of the forms from the package posted on-line at:

You'll find three estimate of giving cards in that package on one page.  Please encourage any children in your household to fill out their own caqrd with you as a family activity.  This is a great opportunity to discuss sharing, responsibility, and stewardship with the whole family.  Heads of households should encourage the ancient practice of tithing as part of your family's financial planning.

If you have been giving to the Capital Appeal (Building Fund), we ask you to keep on giving faithfully as you have been.  Please extend your regular giving through Dec 31st of this year, and indicate on the estimate of giving card how much you estimate you will give to the Building Fund as well.  If it is helpful to you, you may combine the amounts, or you may list them seperately.  Our Council just needs a sense of how much giving we plan to give so they can come up with the 2010-2011 budget for us to approve in June.  If you haven't been giving to the Building Fund, please consider starting!  Just use your weekly offering envelope -- you can write one check and indicate on the front how much is for the building, and how much for mission and ministry.

Special "Snowfall Shortfall" envelopes will be available for your use on Palm Sunday.

Giving generously and cheerfully is an important expression of your faith.  Thanks be to God for your faithful support of our work together in Christ Jesus!

Grace, Mercy, and Peace to you in this season of Lent.

For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

First Timothy 6:7-10

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

John 13:34
