Dear Friends in Christ,

"We have worshipped our Lord Jesus in the fullness of His Transfigured Light asking for His Light to shine upon our darkness with life, joy, hope and a call to follow His Light, and we now begin the season of Lent. We enter into the season of our baptism, considering again what it means to follow a crucified and risen Lord....

...May our Lord do through us far more than we could ever ask or imagine! It is a holy privilege to serve with you."

New Twitter Feed

Check out our new Twitter feed on the News Page.  You can follow ResurrectionPeople as SpotsyLutherans on Twitter.  First announcement of "breaking news" will be made on Twitter, plus devotional thoughts throughout the week. Take a look, and you'll notice that the slides from our congregational meeting were posted on Twitter days ago!  If you have something you'd like broadcast by Twitter but don't want a Twitter account, send it to website@ResurrectionPeople.org

Lenten Soup Suppers
Soup Supper every Wednesday night during Lent at 5:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall, followed by evening worship in the Sanctuary at 6:30 PM.

Giving our lives Joyfully in Witness and Service
As discussed at our congregational meeting, we need all our members to participate meaningfully in the life of Resurrection.  We encourage everyone to Walk with Jesus and contribute to our life together by:
  • Being Joyful!
  • Bearing Witness!
  • Doing Service!
  • Giving Cheerfully!
Let us know how you plan to participate this coming year.  Download the Walk with Jesus package, print out your Witness and Service forms and your Estimate of Giving cards, and place them in the offering at worship.  Our Commitment Sunday will be March 21st, at which time all will be invited to bring their commitments to the altar, but please feel free to make your commitments at any time before that.  Use the gift of Lent to reflect on your life, and to pray for the courage and discipline to walk more meaningfully with Jesus this coming year!

Want to take something on?  How about setting up a recurring electronic funds transfer as part of your giving?  You can do it all by yourself on-line, then see Donna Roberts our Contributions Secretary to confirm that it's all working as you like, and sign the authorization form for her records.  Just click on the "Create Profile" button on the webpage and you can then manage it yourself!

"Here is the truly Christian life, here is faith really working by love, when a man applies himself with joy and love to the works of that freest servitude in which he serves others voluntarily and for nought, himself abundantly satisfied in the fullness and riches of his own faith."
