BLIZZARD ALERT for this weekend |
From our Pastors and Council...
* The potluck dinner is being rescheduled to Saturday, March 6.
* We will make the decision by 7:00 p.m. on Saturday regarding our Sunday schedule. We will put this message on our church voice mail and further alert folks via twitter and e-mail. At this point it looks doubtful about having our regular schedule this Sunday.
* Thanks to those who remembered to get their offerings to church! Some mailed them, some made electronic transfers, and others came by the office. Remember, all of our expenses continue whether we have worship or not.
* Some are also remembering to give a little extra to help with our snow plowing expenses. We will have another bill after this snow.
* Thanks to the snow angels who came by and shoveled our sidewalks last Sunday! It would be great if we had more volunteers to show up when the snow stops falling and clear the walks.
* Our youth will be disappointed if we cannot help contribute to the Souper Bowl of Caring this Sunday. We will invite them to collect contributions for the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank the next time we gather for worship.
* Our Boy Scout troop will join us at the 11:15 service the next time we gather for worship. They have a great fundraiser - "ice melt" - to help fund their activities.
* Our Middle School youth and parents have an offer for parents on Valentine's Day (Sunday, February 14): have a date and let the youth and their parents provide child care. The time is 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and they will provide a meal and activities at church. They will take signups at worship on the morning of February 14.

Eric Carlson Resurrection Lutheran Church
"Here is the truly Christian life, here is faith really working by love, when a man applies himself with joy and love to the works of that freest servitude in which he serves others voluntarily and for nought, himself abundantly satisfied in the fullness and riches of his own faith."
