Dear Friends in Christ,

"...God's grace makes you happy, joyful and bold in your relationship to God and all creatures. The Holy Spirit makes this happen through faith. Because of it, you freely, willingly and joyfully do good to everyone, serve everyone, suffer all kinds of things, love and praise the God who has shown you such grace."

Semi Annual Congregational Meeting

  1. Our semi-annual Congregation Meeting is this Sunday, January 31, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.  We need a quorum of about 100 folks to conduct business.
  2. You are invited to bring your own lunch and eat with others at table in the Fellowship Hall after the second service.
  3. During the Congregation Meeting, our children will enjoy a great DVD in the 3rd floor story room.  Our Middle School Youth have volunteered to sit with them.  Adult chaperones will include parents of middle school youth.   We will be asking other parents to take shifts of 15 minutes to help supervise.
  4. We pray that the expected snow will not interrupt our Sunday schedule.  Please phone the church office and listen to the message on our church voice mail (786-7778) to learn about any schedule changes.
  5. Annual Reports will be distributed at the Meeting.
  6. We will dedicate our new Baptismal Table at both worship services.  At 11:15 we will baptize  Kellen Josephine Cheeseman,  infant daughter of Michael and Jennifer Cheeseman.  The artist who crafted the Baptismal Table, Mr. Chad Hill, will be with us at 11:15.
  7. If there is accumulated snow, we will be needing volunteers to shovel the sidewalks on Saturday afternoon/evening.  We will send out an e-mail request or you may just show up!

Souper Bowl of Caring!

The high school youth group is raising money for the Fredericksburg Food Bank by participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring, Feb. 7.  All you need to do is donate money by putting it in the soup pots we will have youth holding, after each service.

The youth group will be participating in a "Service Blitz" as part of the Souper Bowl of Caring. They will be helping to serve a meal to low income people on January 30th at the Presbyterian Church.

"Here is the truly Christian life, here is faith really working by love, when a man applies himself with joy and love to the works of that freest servitude in which he serves others voluntarily and for nought, himself abundantly satisfied in the fullness and riches of his own faith."
