Advent 4

Weather Call From Pastors Carol and Jim...

Dear Resurrection Family,

The expected heavy snowfall on Saturday means a change of schedule for Sunday.  After consultation with Amy Burcher, our Minister of Music and Tom Bannon, Co-Captain of our Property Team, we have determined it best to not present the Cantata this Sunday and have one worship service only at 11:15.  Amy will check with the choir and determine a Sunday in January to present "The Mystery and the Majesty" Cantata.  Tom has made arrangments to have our parking lot plowed and possibly salted in time for the 11:15 Sunday service.  Greg Brock is also cancelling the "Living Nativity".  Here is the revised schedule for this weekend:

  • Cantata Rehearsal on Saturday              cancelled
  • 8:15 Worship on Sunday                          cancelled
  • 9:45 Living Well and Sunday School     cancelled
  • 11:15 Worship on Sunday                        YES
  • 4:00 Confirmation Class                           cancelled
  • Living Nativity (Sun and Mon)                 cancelled

Please bring your gifts for the Angel Tree this Sunday!  If that is not possible, please leave a message on the church voice mail (786-7778) and let us know you need it to be picked up at your house.

Important: It would be a big help to have some volunteers on Sunday morning before service to shovel the sidewalks (especially near the handicapped parking and the front door).

Please consider mailing your offering if you cannot be here Sunday.  Better yet, bring it with you on Christmas Eve.

May our Lord bless you wonderfully,

Pastors Jim and Carol

"Here is the truly Christian life, here is faith really working by love, when a man applies himself with joy and love to the works of that freest servitude in which he serves others voluntarily and for nought, himself abundantly satisfied in the fullness and riches of his own faith."
