Dear Friends in Christ,

"We must remember that it was God who chose to give us different personalities, backgrounds, races, and preferences, so we should value and enjoy those differences, not merely tolerate them.  God wants unity, not uniformity.  But for unity's sake we must never let differences divide us.  We must stay focused on what matters most -- learning to love each other as Christ has loved us..."

RLC Pantry Exchange

pantry exhangeThe new RLC Pantry Exchange is now operational on the counter at the east end of the kitchen.

Here's how it works:  if you need something you see on the shelf, take it.  If you have something on your shelf at home you'd like to donate, bring it in.  Anything non-perishable is good for exchange.  Canned goods, baking supplies, cereals, spices, coffee, and tea too!

Just need a couple cups of flour for pancakes till you get to market on Monday?  Take it to-go in a styrofoam cup.  Just need a tablespoon of fennel seeds?  Put them in a snack bag and go!  Want to try Wegman's brand canned tuna?  Take a can.  Bring back something else to share when you are able.

Have some?  Leave some!              Need some?  Take some!                  No worries!

Fall Cleanup Thanks!

A Big Property Team THANK YOU!

Fall Clean Up Day was a success.  The outside storage area behind the upper building was reorganized and cleaned up.  Our church windows, carpet, bathrooms, walls and doors were cleaned.  The weeds in the front and West side planting areas were pulled out.  The grass under the picnic tables and surrounding well pump house were cut.  Edging was installed.  Brass polished.  It was a great day.  A great lunch was served.  The Property Team would like to thank everyone who helped on Saturday November 7th.

Help is needed to haul away a pile of trash.  If have a truck and would like to help please contact Tom Bannon at 540-786-2882.

"Here is the truly Christian life, here is faith really working by love, when a man applies himself with joy and love to the works of that freest servitude in which he serves others voluntarily and for nought, himself abundantly satisfied in the fullness and riches of his own faith."
