Are you curious about your blood pressure or cholesterol? Do you think your ability to hear might be declining? Are you without health insurance or struggling financially and wondering where to get help?
The free Community Health Fair on Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. will answer many of your health and fitness questions. The fair will offer free seasonal flu (not swine flu) shots, as well as more than 40 exhibitors with giveaways, demonstrations, and free health screenings for adults. The screenings will include blood pressure, glucose, hearing, cholesterol, body fat, body mass index, and more.
Free consultations with a physician, a pharmacist, and a nutritionist will also be available.
And stories and crafts for kids will be provided so you can give your full attention to your
health and fitness concerns.
This year's health fair will be at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 6170 Plank Rd. (Route 3
west of Fredericksburg).
This is a great opportunity to have your health evaluated and to obtain the information you need to address any problems discovered. You can learn a lot about the health services and agencies available in our local area (and get great free stuff). Resurrection Lutheran Church and its Health Ministry are sponsoring the fair. For more information, call Emily Slunt, 540-972-3221, or Sue Merna, 540-972-3600. See you at the fair!
