Dear Friends in Christ,

"Mother, may I?" is a game children sometimes play.  In this game, participants ask for permission to take giant steps and baby steps as they strive to reach their goal.  As we walk with Jesus, our walk is a collection of steps with our Lord.  Some are bold steps, some are timid steps, but all are steps taken with Jesus at our side.

As you consider your giving as a part of your walk with Jesus, this letter encourages you to consider a bold step.  The chart below was presented to those who were in worship this past Sunday.  It lists for you different levels of giving and the number of givers in our congregation at each level.

Won't you please examine the chart carefully, find your current level of giving, and give prayerful consideration to taking the step forward for next year that is encouraged for you.

giving

Next Sunday in worship you will have the opportunity to complete your estimate of giving card for next year.  Give prayerful consideration to your gift before Sunday.

Grace, Mercy, and Peace to you in this season of Lent.

For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

First Timothy 6:7-10

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
