World Hunger Jeopardy |
This fun and interactive activity is designed to educate Lutherans and others about ELCA World Hunger and its work. When information is given in a fun atmosphere, it is more likely to be retained. Go to the ELCA World Hunger site to download the Hunger Jeopardy PowerPoint game. You need Microsoft PowerPoint to download "Hunger Jeopardy." It is recommended to open and play the game in PowerPoint instead of in an Internet browser.
This, however, is not intended to make light of or underscore the seriousness of world hunger. Armed with knowledge and awareness, the hope is that participants will leave with a better understanding that there are people who are hungry in God's world and there are ways we can support them.
As our youth prepare for the 30 hour famine, and as we all prepare for our Lenten disciplines of prayer and fasting, please remember to give a gift to ELCA World Hunger by using the light blue envelopes in the pews, or by giving a gift on-line designated for World Hunger. |
