Kari Sorger rescues street dog Suerte, forming a bond without borders.
"After a year and 4 months, as well as a 23 hour plane ride back to the U.S., my baby Suerte was finally home. Amazon CARES is wonderful and I'm happy that the suffering is over for one dog in Iquitos. Without their help, support, and love for the animals of Iquitos, I would have never been able to give Suerte a second chance."

2009 Veterinary Trips
have been a tremendous success. Only one trip is left with space available! Trip dates are Nov. 30 - Dec. 15, and the TNR campaigns will take place in and around Iquitos. For an information packet please email Trip Director, Amy E Giddings, MRCVS, BVSc (Hons).

Mission
Amazon Community Animal Rescue, Education & Safety seeks better health and living conditions for ALL living
beings of the Peruvian Amazon region. Since being founded in 2004, our mission has evolved. In turn, Amazon CARES is internationally recognized as one of the most progressive and innovative "animal welfare" charities in Latin America.
Dogs, Cats & More! Oh My!

Due to cultural differences, we learned the significance of education. We recognize the strong link that holds healthy people, animals and ecosystems together. Our multifaceted programs benefit environmental and human health in addition to animal health.

Please support our mission to make a significant impact on living
conditions and health for animals AND humans in the poorest region of
Peru.
