Tip provided by Dr. Justin Newman, Banyan Holistic Center
Did you know that a great way to send positive energy is through smiling? Just as laugher is the best medicine, smiling has some of the same benefits. It helps to relieve stress and tension. It affects the blood chemistry in many ways to fight infections as well as optimize how glands and organs are working. The body can also recover from injuries much more quickly. Even if you aren't feeling particularly happy, making a smile can trigger feelings of happiness. Try it out! |
A special Veterans Week 7-Day Caribbean cruise aboard NCL's newest ship Norwegian EPIC will raise funds to benefit the Military Hospitality Lounge at Miami International Airport.
U.S. Air Force Colonel George E. ("Bud") Day, a Medal of Honor recipient from the Vietnam War, will join the cruise as a special guest of honor and take part in the Veteran's Day Remembrance Ceremony to be held on board the ship on November 11th.
Each month, more than 2000 military visitors (from both U.S. and allied forces), take advantage of the facilities at this centrally-located (Terminal E) airport hospitality center operated by the Armed Forces Service Center, a Miami-based tax-exempt charitable trust. The former U.S.O. center is staffed entirely by volunteers and provides a safe, comfortable and no-cost oasis for military travelers and their families. Only military travelers (and their dependents) with official ID (active duty, reserve, guard and retired military on official or personal travel) are eligible to use the lounge and its facilities.
