Phillip C. Lyons is Senior Vice President and Partner with InSource, Inc. one of South Florida's largest independently owned insurance firms with roots dating back to 1922. He focuses on real estate commercial property programs, manufacturers, condominiums, and workers compensation programs. Mr. Lyons also specializes in custom tailored homeowner and auto insurance programs for high net worth individuals.
Lyons started his insurance career back in 1981. He was a partner in Worley, Humphrey & Ball, a predecessor firm to InSource. He is an Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) as well as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).
Much of his success is due to his understanding that in today's world you need to be more than an insurance salesman, you need to be a true risk manager, a trusted advisor, a partner, and a resource to your clients. He also has a core belief that to better serve the community you need to be involved in the community, and does exactly that. He is an active member of the Chamber South, Chairman Elect of the Military Affairs Committee, member of the Legislative Council for the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA), Incoming President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dade County, and a member of the Miami Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He has also served as Chairman of Chamber South, President of the South Dade Association of Life Underwriters, and the South Miami-Kendall Jaycees.
Phil has been happily married to Donna for thirty years and has two daughters and a son. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1980, has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Florida International University, and an Associate's Degree from Miami-Dade College. |

Fellowship House is happy to announce that we now have our very own Clubhouse Program, Club Fellowship.
A Clubhouse is a consumer centered treatment modality that addresses the long-term needs of adults suffering from severe mental illness while building confidence, honing vocational skills, and emphasizing strength based approaches to recovery.
Clients are called members to indicate that they govern the direction of their treatment and involvement is in the program is entirely self-directed. Within the Clubhouse, staff and members work collaboratively in all aspects of operation, including food preparation and maintenance activities. Clubhouses follow a work-ordered day and are sub-divided into workshops that are responsible for the tasks required to keep the facility running.
Job development is also a central tenet of the philosophy, and staff will assist members in applying for outside employment. As a program independent of the agency's other programs, Club Fellowship offers supportive staff, vocational instruction and employment opportunities that help its members focus on their strengths and make proactive decisions regarding their treatment.
Club Fellowship serves as a community for the individuals seeking its services. Consumers are "members for life", so they will always retain the support networks created within Club Fellowship.
If you would like to know more about Fellowship House or Club Fellowship please check us out @ www.fellowshiphouse.org, or www.clubfellowship.org. |

WELLNESS TIP Brought to you by the Wellness Committee |
Getting enough sleep? Brought to you by: Dr. Carrie Herzog Chiropractic Physician Affiliated Healthcare Centers, Inc.
According to the National Sleep Foundation, as many as 40% of Americans sleep less than 7 hours per night. New studies show that when you sleep less than 6-7 hours per night, your risk for serious disease increases. In fact, another study finds that if you regularly get less than six hours of sleep per night, you are 12% more likely to die prematurely. So, if you have trouble finding a comfortable position in which to sleep try using proper pillow placement in order to get the sleep that is so vitally important to your health. If you sleep on your side use a cervical pillow to keep your neck straight and elongated and a pillow between your knees. If you prefer to sleep on back, use a pillow that will support your cervical curve and a pillow under knees to take pressure off the low back. Sleep Well! |

Florida's Turnpike Enterprise |
Now that all-electronic toll collection is in effect on Florida's Turnpike in Miami-Dade, construction has entered another phase, and it involves the demolition of toll plazas.
Demolition of the toll plaza on the Turnpike's southbound entrance ramp from Kendall Drive will take place from 9 p.m. Friday, April 29, through 5 a.m. Monday, May 2, and from 9 p.m. Friday, May 6, through 5 a.m. Monday, May 9.
The ramp will be closed both weekends, and traffic will be detoured to SW 117th Avenue and south to SW 120th Street to enter the Turnpike.
Demolition activities will occur during daytime and nighttime hours, and you may experience noise and dust during these times. We want to advise you that our engineers are monitoring the work in an effort to limit disruptions for nearby residents.
Should you have any questions about the project, please contact me at the Public Information Office of Florida's Turnpike at 1-800-749-7453.
