 Baptist Health Makes FORTUNE'S Annual '100 Best Companies to Work For' ListFORTUNE magazine announced today that Baptist Health was named to the "100 Best Companies to Work For" list for 2011, which marks the 11th time the healthcare organization has earned this recognition. This year, Baptist Health was ranked 42nd overall and 12th among large employers. The full list and related stories appear in the February 7 issue of FORTUNE, and now at http://fortune.com/bestcompanies. Baptist Health took the top spot on the list of employers with the most diversified staff in terms of minorities (73 percent). It also was ranked 11th for offering the highest paying hourly positions (37th for salaried employees), and was among the top 10 for onsite child care centers with the lowest monthly rates for 3 year-olds.
Baptist Health, which will open a new hospital and create hundreds of new job opportunities in Miami-Dade County this year, was among 15 companies showcased for never having had a layoff. FORTUNE featured Baptist Health among a list of 26 companies that are actively hiring for at least 700 jobs.
