The 2012 yearbook is dedicated to... Mr. Whittaker!
Each year, the students dedicate the yearbook to a member of the Faith Heritage staff or faculty. This year's book is dedicated to Mr. Gabriel Whittaker. Mr. Whittaker teaches physical education and coaches the Boys Varsity Soccer team. Since joining the FHS faculty in September of 2009, Mr. Whittaker has participated with our students in many other ways as well including playing the trumpet in several musicals and adding the banjo to other school music events. In the yearbook the students honor Mr. Whittaker of "Exemplifying Godly character."
"I'd like to thank those who dedicated the yearbook to me this school year," says Mr. Whittaker. "It was a surprise and a neat honor. Good job yearbook staff with all of the work you put into the final product. Have a great summer!"
If you haven't had a chance to get your copy of the 2012 yearbook, there are still a few available for purchase at the Faith Heritage office for $60.

National Honor Society fights Leukemia
by Student Reporter, Noah Seabrook
The National Honor Society chose The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Pennies For Patients" as their fundraiser for the year. During the months of March and April students were encouraged to raise what they could. There was a competition amongst the grades as to who could raise the most. Incentives were also given as a means to boost morale for the fundraising. Last year the National Honor Society chose "Pennies For Patients" as well, and raised a total of $901.05 for the cause. This year students raised $1,369.37! That is an increase of $468.32!
Welcome to the new National Honor Society inductees:

On May 24th the above students were inducted to NHS. Top row: Michael Cathcart, Joanna Goncalves, Caitlin Radziewski, Bailey Shattell, Natalie Camloh, Gabrielle Capone, Emily Cooper. Front Row: Nicholas Hills, Jeszara Lee, Sawyer Lee, Elinore Loch, Lydia Matzal and Jordan Neider.

From the Headmaster's Camera:
FHS moments captured by Headmaster, Neal Capone

What a wonderful time I had in Ottawa with the 6th grade class. We visited Parliament, took a guided boat tour, and stopped in to see the RCMP as the Mounties trained for a show. This picture is taken outside our last stop, the Museum of Civilization. It was a terrific learning experience as well as a time for adults and students to grow closer in our relationships. I am so thankful for Mrs. Schmitkons and all of the work she put in to make the trip such a success. I am also grateful for our chaperones that were extremely helpful and made the trip extra fun. The second picture is of the group that was under the supervision of myself an Mr. Smid. They were group B but preferred to be called the Bacon Bit Badger Unicorns. This pic shows some of the energy and enthusiasm that our 6th graders have. I am still recovering...
