Greetings!
The Canbury Arms will be hosting a South African wine tasting with a 3 course dinner to complement the wines. Presenting the wines will be Brian Smith, winemaker, from Elgin Ridge SA and Charlotte Dean from Wined Up Here.
Brian and his wife Marion produce '282' and their other wines on land 282 metres above sea level that was and still is completely untouched by chemicals, the vines are truly natural, aided only with approved organic materials. The responsibility of pest control is left to some smaller but equally important members of the team: their beloved ducks! These were hatched on the farm and trained to eat pests daily.
Brian will talk through his wines, describing the biodynamic production methods they use, Charlotte will introduce further wines to sample, all will be paired with a three course meal to complement the each wine.
The evening will be informative, relaxed and above all entertaining.
