Greetings!
June saw the celebrations for The Queen's Jubilee, Wimbledon, oh and a lot of rain, July's sun has cheered us up no end, long may it last. We're looking forward to Kingston featuring in the Olympic Cycling Road Races, most of Kingston will be land-locked for 28th and 29th July as well as 1st August Time Trials, so if you're local and feel trapped why not visit us? We'll be showing the Road Races and Time Trial on our TV in the Garden Room, as well as other events. We're open everyday as usual and there will be a great atmosphere. Come on Team GB!

September, although it's a fair way off, will see a new exhibition of work by two photographers Nick Maroudias and Helen Marsden. Part of the exhibition will focus on a day in the life of The Canbury Arms. We will be visiting one of our prominent suppliers, Lake District Farmers (read more) with Nick and Helen and squeezing in a short break in the Lakes! Lake District Farmers are very selective with their customers and we are privileged to have been invited to buy their meat. It's an elite club, among their other customers are Marcus Wareing at The Berkley and Angela Hartnett, so we are in very good company. Their meat is second to none, and we are proud to be serving our customers the world's finest beef.
There will be another inter schools quiz on 19th September and Latchmere School will be quiz masters. This will mark the end of this event at the pub. Following a great deal of interest from other customers wishing to attend a quiz night, we will change the format to a more open invitation, the quiz will be a quarterly event. Details to follow in the next newsletter.

We already have over 420 iphone users, who regularly receive push notifications of offers, new menu items, events etcs. There is regularly a loyalty reward which can be used on any visit to the pub, just show the reward on your phone to a member of staff and we will apply the reward to your bill.
