Greetings!
February sees us experiencing some pretty chilly weather, however it is always warm and welcoming here at the Canbury! We have a new menu for the month with some delicious new dishes added, see our website for details under 'Food'.
On the 14th February we'll be feeling the romance in the air as Valentine's Dinner is served. We have a sharing menu with Fruits de Mer, Lobster Thermidor, Chateaubriand to name but a few, with an irresistible Trio of Desserts to share! We are taking bookings now so give us a call to reserve a table for you, we're filling up fast! Please note we will not be offering a 2 for 1 during this evening.
We've hosted 2 very successful charity quiz nights over the last month raising a combined £1000 for 21 and Co and the local schools Parents Associations, our thanks to those who participated and enjoyed the merry evenings! Coming up are 2 more quizzes, one to raise funds for Playpeople Playgroup (29th February) and the other for 1000 in 9 (1st March). The latter quiz is organised by 4 intrepid customers cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats! They are raising money for Macmillan Nurses and all money will go directly to the charity, they have some fantastic donated raffle prizes including the madatory Canbury Arms contribution of vouchers for the pub! We already have over 420 iphone users, who regularly receive push notifications of offers, new menu items, events ets. There is also a loyalty reward which can be used on any visit to the pub, just show the reward on your phone to a member of staff and we will apply the reward to your bill.
