Gastro Pub of the Year!

I am delighted and so proud to announce that earlier today we were awarded Gastro Pub of the Year in the 2011 Time and Leisure Magazine Food Awards covering South West London and Surrey.
My sincerest thanks go to every one of our friends and loyal customers who voted for us, I am extremely grateful to you all for your continued support for The Canbury Arms.
The Gastro Pub category actually received the highest number of votes and I was really pleased when T.V presenter Angelica Bell opened the envelope and announced us as the winners.
We were in illustrious company with Bruce Poole from Chez Bruce winning Restaurant of the Year and Antonio Carluccio winning the Best Family Restaurant catergory for Carluccio's. Our congratulations go out to all those businesses recommended, commended, highly commended and all the winners.
I would also like to thank my team, especially Ryan Waddell my Head Chef, his staff and the front of house team that combine to provide such quality food and beverage service. We are all very proud today!
