Welcome to our June Newsletter, I hope you are all enjoyed the recent period of good weather - long may it last!
Below, there is lots of information on our foods of the world and drink pairings, our new June menu, forthcoming wine tastings, Born to Soon Charity Quiz, The FIFA World Cup 2010 and the winner of May's feedback form draw.
Just a reminder that Monday evenings our wines are sold at our retail prices and every Wednesday two Rib-Eye Steaks and a bottle of house wine is £30! - book to avoid dissapointment.

FOODS OF THE WORLD AND DRINK PAIRING
8th June
Like our great value wine offer on Monday nights and steak night on Wednesday, our Two Tuesdays a month Foods of The World and Drink Pairing offers yet more great value, great interest, great fun and a great test of Ryan's cooking ability.
This Tuesday we are pairing a Thai Green Curry with Singa Beer.
Pairing will be just £10 per person including the food and drink match.

Wine Tastings
Our wine tasting on the 7th of June is now full but we still have two fantastic opporunities for those who missed out!
Thursday 8th July 2010 at 8pm
We are delighted to welcome two local heroes, Andrew Taylor from Taylor's Fine Wines in Ham and Brian Barrington from Norbiton Cheese for our take on a cheese and wine party!
The evening will begin with a glass of fizz and some of Ryan's delicious canapes.
Andrew will bring along 6 whites and 6 reds and these will be paired with 12 cheeses from Brian.
Andrew and Brian will present each wine and cheese in turn and you can take notes as we move along.

The Canbury Arms has hosted tastings of wines from some of the world's top estates including Isabel from New Zealand, Frog's Leap from California, Massaya from Lebanon, Bonny Doon from California, Hewitson from Barossa, Australia, Lustau from Spain and lots more.
We are delighted that Eduardo Pulenta will be here to show his wines from the Pulenta Estate in Argentina and this will be in the form of a food and wine pairing dinner prepared by our Head Chef, Ryan Waddell.

FIFA WORLD CUP FOOTBALL
Don't panic! We are not turning into a sports bar permanently, we are just bowing to overwhelming pressure to show just the England games during the FIFA World Cup 2010.
We still have spaces for the England vs USA match on June 12th at 7.30. Reservations are coming in fast, so please register your interest by return mail to michael@thecanburyarms.com

Born too Soon Charity Quiz Night
Born Too Soon Charity quiz night on the Thursday 22nd July 2010. Born Too Soon is a charity that was set up 25 years ago, it supports Kingston Hospital Neonatal Unit who cares for sick and preterm (premature) new born babies. The Neonatal Unit cares for around 20 babies at any one time. Born Too Soon purchases much of the major equipment allowing Kingston Hospital to choose the very best available in state of the art technology. Please help us raise funds to support Born Too Soon by participating in our charity quiz night. Please register your interest for further details by emailing sam.mannings@hotmail.co.uk or asking the bar staff at The Canbury Arms. This event is being organised by the parents of one of the babies that is currently being cared for at Kingston Neonatal Unit after being born 13 weeks early in March 2010.
