All New Lunch at the Canbury
The Canbury Arms is launching a brand new lunch menu in 2010.
Alongside our main menu, we will serve a delicious variety of hot & cold freshly made express meals. For just £5 (or £4.25 with your Canbury Corporate Card) you could choose one from a range of options, including; Beef Bourguignon with Horseradish Mash, Chicken Tagine with Olives and Preserved Lemon, Pork Cassoulet, Lentil & Goats Cheese Salad, Tagliatelle with Tomato & Basil as well as a sandwich of the day. These are just a few examples of what tasty meals will be on offer throughout January.

Our January Menu
Come to the Canbury and check out our new-look January menu. Some of the old favourites are still there such as the Chilli Salt Squid with Tartar Sauce or the infamous Canbury Arms Home Made Game Pie with Chips & Chalk Valley Watercress. I personally am looking forward to trying the Soup of the Day with Oven Baked Bread, the Slow Braised Beef Brisket with Honey Mustard Glaze & Colcannon or even the Confit Barbary Duck Breast with Dauphinoise Potatoes, Braised Red Cabbage, Game Chips & Blueberry Jus. As well as our menu, our specials board will have new and delicious dishes for you try including the Fish of the Day.

The Interschools Quiz
WEDNESDAY 10th FEBRUARY 2010
We are limited to space for a maximum of 11 teams of 8. You must register your team for inclusion as soon as possible by emailing; michael@thecanburyarms.
The first 11 teams registered will play. Schools may submit 2 teams for entry but the B team can only be included if there are fewer than 11 first teams registered. To avoid disappointment register now!
The following quiz will be on Wednesday 19th May 2010 at 8.00pm for 8.30pm. Quiz masters for the evening will be Fernhill.
1. Current schools involved are St Luke's, St Agatha's, St John's, Fernhill, Latchmere, Alexandra, King Athelstan, Christchurch, however if your school is not involved and you want to be please contact: michael@thecanburyarms.
2. There is space for 11 teams of 8 only on a first come first served basis. Schools may enter two teams if they wish. Please let me know the name of your school and the number of teams you are entering as soon as possible.
3. The cost to each player remains £5 with 100% of the money making up the prize fund.
4. The prize money is split and presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. Where there is a pot of £400, 1st will take £250.00 2nd £100 and 3rd £50. All runner up teams will be presented with a £20 Canbury Arms Voucher so no one goes away empty handed! All prizes are for the benefit of your school PFA/PSA to improve facilities for your children.
5. The school with the highest score at the end of the series will take the title of brainiest parents in Kingston!
6. We are introducing a handicap system. The winners of each quiz will commence the next quiz on minus 2 points. Back to back wins will incur an extra handicap point each time. Once you have been beaten your points revert back to 0. St Luke's start the next quiz on minus 3 points.
