Greetings!
Please join us for a Member Appreciation at our Indian Springs golf event on April 21 and use this as an opportunity to speak with the group after the round about your business or favorite charity.
Anyone participating will enjoy a glass of wine or soft drink and receive a sleeve of golf balls on us. If you bring a guest who joins EWGA at this or any of our upcoming events until May 5, your name will go into a drawing for a round of golf for two at Mountain View CC in La Quinta. The drawing will be held at Eagles Falls where our Chapter Championship will take place on May 5. Be sure to check our website, www.ewgadesert.com, for dates and courses for all the play coming up! |

 Match Play Differences
Last week, our Chapter's Education Chair - Linda Holbrook - shared with us 'Match Play Simplified.' This week, take a look at the differences in rules between match play and other formats. Read on.... |
| Rules IQ &A
10-1c/2 Player Requested to Lift Ball Due to Interference Plays Out of Turn Instead
Q: In match play, A's ball is on B's line of putt. B requests A to lift her ball under Rule 22-2. Instead of complying with the request, A putts out of turn. Does A lose the hole for a breach of Rule 22-2 or does Rule 10-1c apply, in which case there would be no penalty but B would have the right to require A to replay the stroke in correct order?
A: Rule 10-1c governs.
