Open Heart Surgery

Dear Family & Friends,
You've followed our journey with our one week old baby boy, Justin Robert, from his birth to his diagnosis of a congenital heart defect. . Tomorrow morning he is scheduled to have his open heart surgery at 8 AM. We met with the surgeon and he answered all of our questions. He said that of the four types of TAPVR, this type is the most favorable for a successful surgery, at about a 95% success rate. We desire your prayers that the surgery will be a complete success. One of the major complications in this type of surgery is scarring of the veins, which is eventually fatal. So, we are asking you to pray specifically that there will be no scarring of his pulmonary veins.
