Wishes Do Come True

Make A Wish LogoOn April 16th, Pink Jeep Tours was proud to host a Make-A-Wish child and his family for a send-off party.  "Wish Kid" Michael is described as an "amazing, bright child with an incredible spirit."  He and his family enjoyed the Scenic Rim Tour with Mike Carey as their guide. Carey is not only a Pink Jeep guide, he is also a 'Wish Granter'.

So what was Michael's wish?  -- To go to Give Kids the World in Kissimmee, FL.  Give Kids the World is a non-profit resort in Florida specially created for children with life-threatening illnesses.

A big 'Thank You' goes out to New York Bagel & Deli in Sedona who donated the families lunch on their tour.

Mexican Grey WolfAlthough the Mexican Grey Wolf (canus Lupus Baileyi) once roamed from Mexico City north to Utah and Colorado and even into west Texas, now only 50-60 Mexican Grey Wolves populate the Blue Range Wolf recovery area in eastern Arizona.  Efforts for recovery started in 1998 with 11 animals and the first wild born litter in 2002.  Only known wild population left is in the US or Mexico.  There are 300 wolves still in captivity in the US and Mexico.
