While spending a day in Sedona, Project Artemis participants from Thunderbird College in Phoenix took a Pink Jeep Tour on October 18.   

Project Artemis, a two-week training program for businesswomen from Afghanistan was launched in 2006 as a way to help women entrepreneurs succeed  in their war-torn country.

The group of Afghan women entrepreneurs arrived  in Arizona on October 11 for intensive business training that included workshops in leadership, finance, negotiation strategy, marketing and human resource management. The women also toured various businesses in the Phoenix community so they could meet U.S. entrepreneurs and see firsthand how other companies operate.

Jessica Matthews moved to Sedona from Washington state because of her sister, Kori.  Family ties aside, Jessica had heard about the great company her sister was working for and decided to pack up her bags and move south.  Today, Jessica has been working in the Pink Jeep Tours reservation office for over a year, and absolutely loves it.  She says the best part about her job is all the people she works with.  While in Washington, Jessica worked in retail as a Loss Prevention Detective for 2 ½ years at Sears Holding Co.  

In her free time, Jessica enjoys scrapbooking and cooking.   She even considers bugging her sister Kori to be a hobby.  When asked about her favorite flavor of ice cream, Jessica's choice is Rocky Road.
