Greetings!
JFCS is
participating in the GlobalGiving US Open Challenge contest for a chance to earn a permanent spot on their
website. GlobalGiving is an online
marketplace that connects donors to the causes and countries they care about. Donors select the projects they want to
support, make a tax-deductible contribution, and get regular progress updates -
so they can see their impact. This contest will give JFCS the opportunity to reach out to donors within and beyond our local community and raise the funds needed to support our programs.
The US Open Challenge runs between June
8, 2009 and June 30, 2009. Any
project that is able to raise a minimum of $4,000 from at least 50 unique
donors during this time period will be invited to remain on the GlobalGiving
website. As well, the top three
fundraising projects (most dollars raised) will receive supplementary cash
bonuses from GlobalGiving of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 respectively. The project with the greatest number of
unique donors will be awarded a bonus of $3,000.
