Greetings!

Samost Jewish Family & Children's Service of Southern NJ wishes you a very Happy Mother's Day!

Here are some tips for keeping your children safe
in today's digital world.

Growing Up Online

As part of our Partnerships For Living series, JFCS is presenting "Growing Up Online!" on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 7:00 PM at Congregation Beth El.  This is a workshop for parents about social networking sites, what you should know about them, and how to talk to your child about them.  For more information or to RSVP, please contact Ronit Boyd by phone at 856-675-1166, ext. 418 or by email.

We hope you can join us for this workshop.
Internet browsing for the young at heart

Kid-friendly internet browsers, such as KIDO'Z, KidRocket.org, and Buddy Browser, help parents monitor and control what content children can access on the internet.  A new kid-friendly YouTube interface called Kideo Player is now available so that young children can view only age-appropriate videos.
Video games and so much more

With so many video game systems and games out there, it's hard to keep up!  Making it even harder is that most of these systems and games now offer online play as well.  GetGameSmart.com and Common Sense Media offer tips on how to establish boundaries about which games your child plays and how often.
