Over $500,000 in Champions Grants Awarded

It has been a big year for the Champions Grant program. On Thursday Jimmie and Chandra announced over $520,000 in grants to 13 schools during an event at Sadler Arts Academy in Chandra's hometown of Muskogee, OK. Grants were awarded to K-12 public and charter schools in Jimmie's hometown of San Diego, Charlotte, where the Johnson's live now, and Muskogee.

Team Up For Technology Semi-Finalists Selected
10 schools are now one step closer to winning a $48,000 technology makeover! The semi-finalists will submit video applications, and a winner will be chosen in early 2012.

JJF and Lowe's Commit $750,000 to Project L.I.F.T.
On October 24th, the Jimmie Johnson Foundation and Lowe's Charitable and Education Foundation announced their support of the Charlotte Mecklenburg School's Project L.I.F.T. (Leadership and Investment for Transformation).
Project L.I.F.T. is designed to help address the achievement gap in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.
