Foundation Lane Completion Celebrated with Parade of Homes
Jimmie and Chandra celebrated
the completion of the four San Diego Habitat for Humanity homes with a special Parade of Homes Event on October 6th.
The new homeowners were on hand to give a tour of their homes and share their stories of what it means to be a homeowner. Jimmie and Chandra commemorated the event by leaving hand print molds on the sidewalk with the families.
SDHFH is still seeking the fourth family to qualify for the one remaining home. For more information, please contact SDHFH Family Services Coordinator Shayna at 619-283-4663 ext 314 or shaynah@sdhfh.org.

3rd Annual Golf Tournament Raised More Than $500,000
For the third consecutive year, the Annual Golf Tournament raised more than $500,000 to fund the Lowe's Toolbox Champions Grants. The Champions Grants will range from $25,000-$100,000 and will be awarded to schools in the San Diego area this December. "We work hard to be sure the dollars we raise in different parts of the country stay in those areas. I'm so proud of what we've been able to do in the San Diego area, and Chani and I can't wait to see what the funds will do to help local schools" said Johnson.
NASCAR drivers Kurt Busch, Brian Vickers, Jamie McMurray, Boris Said and Casey Mears, along with former NFL player Jason Seahorn, joined more than 130 other guests for the golf tournament at The Grand Del Mar in San Diego. A dinner and live auction were held the previous evening with comedian John Pinette as the guest performer. Johnson's Helmet of Hope, his Pepsi 500 race-winning helmet, sold for $27,000.
Many thanks to our sponsors, guests and volunteers who made the event a success.
