 Recruitment Events
 

admissions Last Sunday 40 middle school boys joined the ICJA recruitment program, "A Day Out with the Guys." The day included lunch at Ken's Diner, a performance by the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team and a program on making tzitzit. A local scribe gave a demonstration on safrut, and the day ended with each participant tying his own tzitzit. Pictured is a member of the acrobatic team flying over an Akiba Schechter student.

 


 Schechter Visit
 

schechter Sixteen eighth grade students from Solomon Schechter visited the Academy on Tuesday. The program began with breakfast and continued with a tour and visits to classes. Pictured are eighth grade students with ICJA student leaders at breakfast. Hillel Torah students will be visiting in the coming weeks.

 Blood Drive
 

Please join us at the ICJA Blood Drive on Tues., Dec. 2 between 9-3 in the gym. Walk-ins welcome!

 


 Yeshiva and Seminary Visits
 

Dozens of Yeshivas and Seminaries are visiting ICJA to meet with and interview prospective participants. Keep checking the website calendar for updates.

 


 Athletic Victories
 

Congrats to the ICJA wrestling team on their win last night in their match against Fenger. The final score was ICJA-42 Fenger-27.

The Girls' Varsity Basketball team won one of their first two games in the Cristo Rey Thanksgiving Tournament with a score of Ida Crown 31-Cristo Rey 19.

The second game was a close finish with a score of Gage Park 33-Ida Crown 31. The third game is this evening.

 


 YU Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago Lecture
 

Carmel The YU Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago invites the Chicago community to a special lecture by Rabbi Yosef Carmel, Dean of Eretz Hemdah Institute for Advanced Jewish Studies, on the topic of "Current Orthodox Rulings: A Bridge or a Wall between Jews." Hosted by Congregation KINS, 2800 W. North Shore Avenue on Tuesday, December 2 at 8.30 PM. Maariv will be at 9.45 PM. We look forward to seeing you there.
