 Senior Selected as Siemens Semifinalist
 

ricky Congratulations senior Eric (Ricky) Silberman on being selected as a Semifinalist in the 2008-09 Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology. With its high academic standards, rigorous judging process, and emphasis on authentic scientific research, the Siemens Competition is regarded by the most prestigious universities as the leading science and mathematics research-based competition for high school students.

 


 Senior Shabbaton
 

bowling Seniors had a great time at last weekend's Senior Shabbaton at the Holiday Inn in Palatine. Many thanks to the students and staff who worked so hard on the program and meals. Pictured are seniors bowling on Friday at esKape.

 


 Israel Club
 

soup Students in ICJA's Israel Club raised $100 last week for Jerusalem's Carmei Ha'Ir soup kitchen. The Israel Club served soup to teach ICJA students about the work that Carmei Ha'Ir does to feed the hungry. Each month the Israel Club will focus on a different Israeli nonprofit.

 


 Yeshiva and Seminary Visits
 

Beginning in November, representatives from dozens of Yeshivas and Seminaries will be visiting ICJA to meet with and interview prospective participants. Keep checking the website calendar for updates.

 


 Adolescent Issues Lecture
 

The YU Torah Mitzion Kollel of Chicago invites the Chicago community to a special lecture by Dr. David Pelcovitz, Ph.D., renowned psychologist, speaker and author, on the topic of "Adolescent Issues: Challenges and Strategies for Family and Community." Hosted by Congregation KINS, 2800 W. North Shore Avenue on Thursday, November 13th at 8.30 PM. Maariv will be at 9.45 PM. Refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you there.

 


 Townhall Meetings, Conferences
 

Freshman Parents: Monday, Nov. 24 at 7PM

Sophomore Parents: Monday, Nov. 24 at 7:45PM

Junior Parents: Monday, Nov. 24 at 8:30PM

Parent/Teacher conferences will be Sunday, Nov. 16 between 12:30-5:45PM. Students should schedule appointments with their teachers on behalf of their parents, trying to space the appointments as closely as possible.

 


 ATT Keter Award Banquet
 

The Associated Talmud Torahs Keter Award Banquet Honoring:
