 Open House
 

open house Nearly 150 people attended Wednesday night's Open House for 7th and 8th grade students and their parents.

The program included a d'var torah from Rabbi Brand and presentations by Rabbi Matanky, and seniors: Hallie Dobkin and Yoni Goldberg. Representatives from student groups, the guidance department and the Academic Services Department answered questions from prospective students and their parents.

Many thanks to Mrs. Rivkah Rabin, admissions director, Mrs. Amy Lowenstein, admissions chair, Mrs. Cindy Redlich, open house chair, and the admissions committee.

 


 Senior Shabbaton
 

shabbaton The senior Shabbaton program begins tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 31, in the morning after davening. Pick up will be Sat. night, either at 8PM at the Holiday Inn in Palatine (1550 E. Dundee) or at 8:30PM at the Academy.

 Yeshiva and Seminary Visits
 

Beginning in November, representatives from dozens of Yeshivas and Seminaries will be visiting ICJA to meet with and interview prospective participants. Keep checking the website calendar for updates. Following are visits in early November:

Wed., Nov. 5: Michlelet Esther

Thurs., Nov. 6: Midreshet Lindenbaum

Fri., Nov. 7: Midreshet Amit

 


 Guidance News
 

Don't miss the Nov. 19 guidance presentation on "Financing a College Education." Bob Friedman, YU's financial director will be presenting, followed by a Q&A session. Program begins at 7:30 in the library.

 Townhall Meetings, Conferences
 

Freshman Parents: Monday, Nov. 24 at 7PM

Sophomore Parents: Monday, Nov. 24 at 7:45PM

Junior Parents: Monday, Nov. 24 at 8:30PM

Parent/Teacher conferences will be Sunday, Nov. 16 between 12:30-5:45PM. Students should schedule appointments with their teachers on behalf of their parents, trying to space the appointments as closely as possible.
