Garrett amazed everyone present with his amazing first pitch at the July 8 Rangers game.
In fact, we think he may have scared the bullpen, because he threw just as well as they did as the Ranger's lost to the Baltimore Orioles that evening.
But none of that really mattered to Garrett that night. Variety, Rehab Specialties, Grant Thornton and the Texas Rangers made the entire experience even more special by allowing him and twenty of his closest family members to watch the game from the comforts of a luxury suite.
Why not be amazed yourself by
watching the pitch through the eyes of the CBS 11 camera or by checking out
photos of all the happenings.
SPECIAL NOTES OF THANKS

Variety would like to point out a random act of kindness that did not go unnoticed the night of Garrett's pitch.
As Garrett was leaving the field that night, Baltimore second baseman
Julio Lugo took a moment from his pre-game warm-up to congratulate Garrett.
In the four years that Variety has been partnering with the Ranger's on this event, this is the second time that a player has done so.
The first time it was Kansas City Royals outfielder
Joey Gathright coming over to William
(see photo) four years ago.
Here is the interesting note to this story...Both players at the time wore number 2 and Joey Gathright is now part of the Baltimore minor league system.
