Variety of Texas last won one of these prestigious awards in 1998 (Gold). It would take until 2008 for Texas to be named a finalist again.
Ten great Variety programs from across the globe are up for one of the three awards this year. But, Variety of Texas can claim something that not a single one of the nine other nominated programs can...we have been nominated each of the past three years.
Congratulations from Variety of Texas to the other nominees:
- Iowa (2009's Gold Award Winner)
- Israel
- New South Wales, Australia
- New Zealand
- Northern Territory, Australia
- Southern California
- St. Louis (2008's Silver Award Winner)
- Texas
- Western Australia
- Wisconsin
Here's hoping the third time is the charm.
