Variety on Facebook
Are you on Facebook?

Go ahead and admit it...you're on Facebook.

Well, do we have a deal for you! Just for joining the Variety of Texas Group Page on FaceBook by January 31, 2010, you could win 4 free tickets to a Regal Entertainment Group theatre of your choice.

That's right. No donation necessary, no commitment to stay on the list...you just have to sign up by January 31.

We will be giving away 4 sets of 4 tickets each through a random drawing of everyone signed up by that date. So, do it now!

Last Minute Donations
Have you remembered to make all your charitable donations this year? You only have a few hours left to make it happen, if not.

And guess what? Variety can help. Make your donation by midnight December 31, 2009, for a write-off on this year's taxes.

Your donation can be restricted to certain Variety programs, or unrestricted for use by Variety as it sees best to provide support children all across the state.

Bikes for Kids...& Dennis Rothermich
Dennis RothermichToo often in life, we neglect to thank those who deserve it the most. Those who go above and beyond for the love of a cause.

Such is the case with Dennis Rothermich. He was not a board member of Variety. He was not a large cash donor. What Dennis gave to Variety was more than most would/could/did. He gave his time, his talents and allowed Variety to use all the resources he had as our event photographer (all photos on the preceding link were taken by Dennis), resident computer guru and all around good guy.

To read more about Dennis, please view his memorial page. Dennis and his family have requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Variety of Texas and restricted to our Bikes for Kids program (photos taken by Dennis last Spring) or the American Cancer Society.

CEO SpotlightVariety Texas Executive Director, Lance Hood, was recently interviewed by Dallas radio station KRLD as part of David Johnson's CEO Spotlight. The piece focuses on Variety, its history, its current impact and the Variety Cinema Passport (which Mr. Johnson has been a proud holder of for the past three years).

Variety has been all about providing experiences to children for the past 35 years. These experiences range from seeing a film for the first time in a movie theatre to providing a wheelchair to make it easier to get from place to place for years.
